Click to expand. The reason you gave me was that it was a design element. Of course it's a design element—I know this. IMO, it's a silly design element. I'm glad that Apple is going back to their older roots by reversing some of these stupid features. I love that, for example, software updates have been moved back to Sys Prefs; and, I think it's cool that, for the first time since OS9, we have color accents. Similarly, the blurred login window is no more: we can see our wallpapers again.

I don't want to see a blurred version of my wallpaper. I wear glasses so that my screen ISN'T blurry. If I wanted to see a blurred version of my wallpaper, I'd take my glasses off. The reason you gave me was that it was a design element.

Saying that it's silly is an opinion; although, I think I still have a pretty good case for why it was a good decision for Apple to go back to what they had been doing for YEARS. Apple had always had a normal background image associated with the login screen.

Then, in Yosemite (or whenever), they decided, 'Nope, let's make it look as though you lost your prescription glasses before sitting in front of the computer.' They're going back to their great roots by bringing back this non-blurry design element to Mojave. Click to expand.Dude you're quite funny. Saying 'IT'S' silly is not an Opinion. If you say, I think it is silly would be an Opinion. And just because they did something in the past this doesn't mean it is still the best decision.

If they restarted to make blue plastic macs would you say that would be great too? And by the way the both wallpapers are not comparable @ all the old desktop wasnt really a picture it was just blue with some graphics in it.

The new wallpapers are full of details and are 4K images compared to 480p or so images in the past. The fact of seeing so much details in the lockscreen makes it look cheap in my Opinion. But, the last two days I’ve been trying to find something different. I decided to give Blurred Wallpaper a try. Blurred Wallpapers is a custom wallpaper design app that allows you to create very unique looks for your iOS devices in just a few taps of the screen. The app is designed to be completely custom so that no two wallpapers are alike. Some of the features include:. Color adjustments by sliding up or down the screen.

Pattern overlays preloaded into the app. The ability to use your own photos. Sharing by Facebook, Twitter, Email, etc. Click to Enlarge. When I discovered what the app could do, I decided to download it. There are two versions of Blurred Wallpapers – an ad supported free download version and a pay for version that costs $0.99.

If you are anything like me, you would much rather pay for the app rather than deal with the constant interruptions from ads. Once my download was completed, I began playing with Blurred Wallpapers. It’s a very clean, easy to understand app. When you first open the app, you are already on a color palette primed for modification. To change the colors, you simply drag the bubble from bottom to top on the screen. This will slide your wallpaper color through the typical Apple color spectrum. Once you have the color where you want it, you can select a pattern overlay if you wish.

One of my favorites is the circular bubbles. Click to Enlarge. At the bottom of the screen you can further modify your color palette by selecting whether you want a single background color (mono), two gradients in the background (double) or an entire rainbow spectrum. The colors are rich and vibrant and they flow from one to the next seamlessly. Another really nice feature of Blurred Wallpapers is the ability to use your own photographs as background. Once you have a photo selected, the app allows you to blur the photo for a more interesting wallpaper.

When you are finished with your masterpiece, you may choose to save it. When you tap on ‘Save’, you are taken to screen that allows you to select various modes of transport for your image.
