Evolution of Slavery by Dahlia Garcia Racism was all over the world. Left to right people were discriminated by their race or the color of their skin. The interminable Conflict Slaves were men or women of color who are under control of a white household. Slaves Introduced Slaves were not viewed as humans but as animal leading many whites to hurt and even kill the colored. Into The Oblivion Slavery was born in Jamestown, Virginia but did not just end there. Slavery was introduced all over the world across the seas.

Slave Trade Born Colored men and women were separated in all areas. They obeyed their owners like dogs, doing the job of others to support their families. There was no punishment for these horrid crimes. Everyday a slave was killed and forgotten. There was no shame in killing a man who was just different for the color of his skin. Slaves began to receive prices as if they were items. Many people began buying slaves off of other men and that began the slave trade.

Slave Ships The slave trade consisted of sending out Negros across the world which involved ships full of Slaves. Ships were being sent back and forth full of African American men, women, and children. So compacted, many didn't make the voyage due to diseases, lack of water, and food. Early life of a Slave There has been many Slave autobiographies but one that stood out in the crown was 'The Life of Olaudah Equiano'.

He was an African American who would view all actions a white man would do to his men. He stayed aboard on a ship and would translate for the white and would check up on the colored in the ship. It started when he was a young boy and wrote ever since. Slavery Causing Chaos After slavery and racism became common, marches began and people had begun to be rebellious. African American slaves tried to escape but were either caught or killed. They had no choice but fight. Overwhelming Violence The world was full of hatred and depression filled areas.

Colored people weren't allowed anywhere. There wasn't a place for colored man or woman to feel safe. Crimes were committed and so were murders The Cotton Gin Slaves would work out in the sun during the hottest hours of the day without sufficient water or breaks.

Well the cotton gin saved their energy. The cotton gin would get the job faster that a man can. Many slaves were released in exchange of the Cotton Gin. Factories up for Business With the Cotton Gin invented many factories were being opened and it gave an opportunity to the colored to work independently. Colored Americans finally had a chance to earn and give their families freedom in a way.

And were able to work in a better conditions. Slavery Dying Down Slavery was becoming small but running President Abraham Lincoln was unsatisfied with the thought of owning another human being. He believed those ways were inhumane and wanted to put an end to it all so he made his move. He was successful and rebellious areas were free from slavery. Opportunities were given. Abraham Lincoln was assassinated awhile after but he will always be our savior. How did this act impact our society? Without this occurring in the past we would of never learned from our mistakes. The United States needs to go through hardships to create the strong nation we are.

There were many social opinions of black people, mostly stemming from fear of the unknown. Some of the earliest writings were by Frenchman Jean Bodin and Leo Africanus. Bodin wrote numerous books on Africa, the natives and why they should be made into slaves. The books would state that the Africans were lustful in nature and should be captured and enslaved so they wouldn’t continue to be sex crazed Africans.
